DCSO Confiscates 186 Plants – Estimated Street Value - $100K Deputies and investigators then went to 3504 NE 272 Avenue in Old Town and spoke with the occupant of the residence, identified as Anthony Jay Barrentine, age 46, of Old Town. After Barrentine gave permission for his property to be searched, deputies found a total of 186 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. The find was classified as an indoor growing operation. Barrentine was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession of more than 20 Grams of Cannabis, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Barrentine has since been released on a $50,000 bond. Sheriff Hatcher stated, “The Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate the sale, use and delivery of illegal substances and narcotics.” This year the Dixie County Sheriff’s Office has found a total of three indoor marijuana-growing operations in Dixie County.
