Mrs. Vondora Hill DeLoach, 68, died after a courageous struggle with cancer on Friday, October 31, 2008, at her home, surrounded by her family. Vonda was born in Dixie County, Florida, on June 16, 1940, and attended elementary school in Old Town. She attended high school in Perry, FL, and Savannah, GA, where she lived most of her life. She was a beautician at John Wesley Retirement Villa and a member of Savannah Christian Church.

Vonda will be remembered by her family and many friends for her outgoing and vibrant personality and her ability to see humor in almost anything. Her father, Edward Ralph Hill, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Barron E. DeLoach of Savannah; mother, Estelle Hill of Perry, FL; sisters, Marjorie Bullard of Orange, FL, Marie Wright of Steinhatchee, FL, Sandra Forehand of Perry, FL, and Reitzel Roberts of Chattahoochee, FL; brothers, Kermit Hill of Perry, FL, Terry Hill of Halletsville, TX and Gilbert Hill of Tifton, GA.
